LeapSprong Amsterdam is an open innovation programme on a mission to accelerate solutions which contribute to the industrial decarbonisation in the wider Amsterdam region.

Flexible solutions for a sustainable industry and smart energy management
“0Plastic converts plastic waste into fuel, cleaning the environment, supplying energy, and creating sustainable jobs.”

Flexible solutions for a sustainable industry and smart energy management
“A hydrogen solution to provide clean heat and power, enabling industries to replace natural gas, even with grid congestion.”

Flexible solutions for a sustainable industry and smart energy management
“We'd love to connect with port authorities, shipping companies, and industrial energy users who are ready to move beyond feasibility studies and commit to commercial-scale hydrogen infrastructure partnerships.”

Flexible solutions for a sustainable industry and smart energy management
"Factories in food & beverage, pulp & paper and chemicals have challenges to find profitable decarbonization solutions. At the same time, they waste vast amounts of energy at the temperatures of 40 – 70 °C."

Flexible solutions for a sustainable industry and smart energy management
“We’d love to connect with industrial companies with large cooling demands, industrial service providers regarding cooling systems, and partners who want to co-develop scalable industrial software solutions.”

Flexible solutions for a sustainable industry and smart energy management
"We’d love to connect with energy service companies, utilities, industrial clients and any organization operating in the energy sector interested in driving decarbonization and optimizing energy management."

Flexible solutions for a sustainable industry and smart energy management
"We’d love to connect with customers interested in carbon credits and organisations that can support co-location and permitting, CO₂ storage or utilisation pathways as well as technical R&D or engineering scale-up."

Flexible solutions for a sustainable industry and smart energy management
"Industries must optimise electricity use amid increasing electricity market complexity. Poor load forecasts and poorly managed Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) inflate costs, while unused flexibility means missed revenue."

All start-ups met in Amsterdam in November 2025 to kick-off the program and to get started on their collaboration proposals.

Time for inspiration during a labtour at the ETCA and a boat tour around the port area of Amsterdam.

The startups pitched their solution and connected with the audience of ecosystem partners, investors, mentors and experts.
...with an innovative solution in the same space are awarded to join the LeapSprong Demo Day, pitch their idea and access the LeapSprong network. The teams are:
Extends the lifespan of electrolyzers in industrial hydrogen production under variable energy supply.
TU Eindhoven
Reimagining industrial heat pump systems to reduce energy consumption and lower carbon emissions.
TU Delft
Transforming captured CO₂ into valuable chemicals through cutting‑edge electrolysis technology.
Twente University
Superfast EV charging, tested in electrical racecar.
TU Eindhoven
Six start-ups took the jump with us on this journey. The Demo-Day marks the beginning of collaborative projects identified during the programme. Keep scrolling to find out which start-up landed an ETCA membership and which start-ups land a spot in LeapSprong 2.0: the six-month follow-up programme to support them in taking the next step in their projects.
